Alexandra is situated 135 kilometres north-east of Melbourne. (Melways ref 610 T8).

Access from the north-eastern suburbs of Melbourne is either by the Maroondah Highway through Healesville, or via the Melba Highway through Yea. Travelers coming via Shepparton or Benalla enter the northern side of the town.

Parking is available on most of the non-display streets, but latecomers will need to be prepared for a walk to the main display areas.

There’re plenty of food outlets provided by a huge variety of local community groups.
