Preparations are well underway for the 2011 Alexandra Truck, Ute & Rod Show to be held on the upcoming Queen’s Birthday Weekend.

The organizing committee has filled the back of a ute with a load of goodies to be raffled.  There are only 1000 tickets with a first prize of a $1000 Alexandra Foodworks voucher, second prize is a $250 Landmark Embling voucher and the third prize winner will receive a $250 voucher redeemable at the new Thirsty Camel outlet in Alexandra.

The tickets are $5 each and are available at supporting shops in Alexandra and members of the Truck Show committee.

This year some great music is promised with the arrival of Australia’ newest blue grass act Monroe’s Mill. Headed by golden guitar winner Peter Denahy and the return of up-tempo country rock band Smokin O’Briens.

An amazing sight will be the 130 crane being brought in by Associated Cranes.
In addition Lake Mountain will be arriving with snow to promote the opening of Lake Mountain’s 2011 snow season and the mountain’s new facilities.

All proceeds of this years Truck, Ute & Rod Show will be donated to the new Alexandra and District Hospital for the purchase of men’s health surgery equipment.
